The process towards a successful project always starts with a dialogue between you and ourselves to find out the key messages you feel the project needs to deliver. PARTICIPATORY PROJECTS
After our initial meetings we run creative workshops (employing drama games, film-making, scripting, storyboarding etc.) in which groups develop scenarios based on their own perspectives on the key issues. These scenarios will feed directly into the finished film. By the time we come to film you will have a clear idea of what the final film will be. Participants can create the film wholly by themselves, with our guidance, or professional crew members may be used for key roles. Example projects: EasySRE and We Are Teachers, Malawi.
TRAINING
We create bespoke courses to address the needs of a specific project or organisation. Our training is focused on developing the skills of others, as we did in Mozambique where we trained 16 members of an NGO in creative engagement and film-making techniques across two weeks, helping them to create six short films to use immediately in their organisation, PSI. This kind of capacity building is helpful for people who want to use film-making techniques in their on-going practice, and for people who have access to hard-to-reach groups. DOCUMENTARY & EVALUATION VIDEOS
Ordinarily, these projects highlight a specific event or project so, after initial discussions, we plan the filming around the best possible coverage of these events and conduct interviews with key participants. Example projects: Community.
