Ofsted Gold: Herefordshire Museum film

This participatory video project was made with a group of young people, and records their thoughts about what would make a new Hereford Museum engaging for their peers. In the light of the funding proposals to rethink the museum building on Broad Street, Herefordshire Council and Museum Service wanted to broaden their consultation.

The young people: Ashly, Ben, Blake, Charlie, Charlotte, River, Sophie and Tom all took an active role in scripting and filming the film, and to a lesser extent (due to time constraints) editing. Catherine Willson (from Herefordshire Museum Service) gave them a good introduction to the museum and we spent large the second and third sessions discussing and recording how the museum might be improved.
