ACADEMIC RESILIENCE TOOLKIT

Academic Resilience: Beating the Odds for Better Results is a suite of 21 films that include case studies from schools across the UK and other organisations (such as YMCA), as well as exploring the key issues schools need to consider when developing an Academic Resilience programme.

These films explore what makes young people resilient to the challenges that life throws their way and what schools are doing to help their children and young people become more resilient.

The films address: A Whole School Approach, Raising aspirations, The Resilient Classroom, Pyramid of Need, Disadvantaged Pupils, Parents, Belonging, Coping, Examples of Services, A Governor’s Perspective and more.

“When we showed the film about Hove Park School’s approach at our national conference we were delighted to hear so much positive feedback from the audience. The film was described as ‘powerful’ and ‘inspirational’ by schools and it provoked a huge amount of discussion and commitment to go away and try new approaches and step up action in schools – which is exactly what we had hoped for, so thank you Catcher Media.” Jeni Page, YoungMinds
