Over the years we have been involved in many projects dealing with environmental and ecological issues, both locally and internationally. Our most recent project highlights the plight of the River Wye and the River Lugg. Our projects range from working with local organisations with a strong environmental agenda to collaborating with international NGOs on delivering workshops and films which deliver clear ecological messages. Some of our previous clients include The Small Wood Association, The Herefordshire Wildlife Trust, The Waterworks Museum, The Friends of Castle Green, The Green Wood Centre, Caring For God’s Acre, Herefordshire Campaign for Rural England and FSC Bishops Wood.
Our videos help raise the profile of community projects and can be used for evaluation, capturing live events and qualitative data through interviews. Our films range from climate change campaigns, to films about saving orchards, conserving traditional coppicing methods, to raising awareness about flooding or local food and farming, which involved 5 primary schools and 6 local farms.
With United Purpose (formerly Concern Universal) we produced a film called Reclaim Our Future which was part of a national school campaign focussed on raising climate change awareness. Related projects concerned local fundraising initiatives, ArborLoo toilets and fuel-efficient stoves in Africa.
All of the films have been made using participatory methods which means that participants not only have a very active role in creating the film but they are encouraged to learn more about the messages their films communicate. We have a strand relating to sustainable travel. Please see Think Outside the Metal Box, Access All Areas and To Boldly Go.
A good example of our documentary work is a film commissioned by The Small Woods Association called Light is Life which captures a distinctive approach to coppicing developed in North Worcestershire.
Many more of our films are available on our Sustainability Showcase.
