Official launch of the May Fair 900 exhibition

The museums are open again and what better way to celebrate than with the opening of the brand new May Fair 900 exhibition at the City Museum and Art gallery. We are so pleased that this exhibition we have co-curated with Herefordshire Museum service has been able to open to the public. Here Graham Downie hands a copy off his May Fair celebration booklet to Mayor Cllr Kath Hey.

Annie Bowen from HCA’s Graphic Design BA designed the May Fair 900 logo which can be seen on all the publicity. She is seen here with her tutor Innes Jones, Sally Mansell from the Museum team and Julia Goldsmith from Catcher Media

We had a staggered opening event over 4 sessions on Monday 17th May, so not the usual hubbub of a launch event but so nice to be in such colourful and joyful space. We were joined by Alfie and Karen Scarrott from the Showmen’s Guild “great job I thought. well done to all 🙂
