Catcher Media worked with United Purpose (then called Concern Universal) to produce a positive and empowering film that focussed on climate change. The film and graphics were used as part of a national school initiative. The project was a participatory process involving a group of local young people and Catcher Media ran intensive workshops involving film-making, scripting and campaign strategies. The young people all appeared in the final film.
The film was shown to students as part of a week-long series of cross-curricula and awareness-raising sessions which culminated in individuals, classes and the schools themselves making pledges to reduce their carbon emissions. They uploaded their filmed efforts in order to inspire others.
The project featured filmed contributions from David Attenborough and Greenpeace. Supported by The National Union of Teachers and the RSPB among many others.
